I had an extremely disappointing experience with JVR Computing. I entrusted them with repairs for a USB port and motherboard, including USB trace replacements, but the work was substandard and ultimately failed. The USB port repair failed within weeks due to improper workmanship, including the use of adhesive that did not securely bond the connector to the board. Despite multiple opportunities to resolve these issues—such as additional repair attempts and communications—I was left with unresolved problems and escalating frustration. I even filed a formal complaint with the Better Business Bureau (BBB), which JVR Computing failed to address adequately or in good faith. This lack of accountability and unwillingness to make things right demonstrates poor customer service and questionable business practices. Under Ontario’s Consumer Protection Act, 2002, services must be performed in a manner that is of "reasonably acceptable quality," and repairs must include a warranty of at least 90 days on parts and labor. JVR Computing failed to meet these standards, refusing to honor valid warranty claims for their defective work. I strongly advise others to avoid JVR Computing for any repair services. My experience highlights their inability to deliver quality workmanship or resolve issues professionally when problems arise.
Start to finish, great experience dealing with Josh! I have an older laptop, I was unsure if it was worth fixing or replacing. Josh had it cleaned up, running better, and advised it was still worth keeping. Price was very fair! I was keep up to date! I would highly recommend JVR computing for your computer needs.
